Hi, I'm Cassie. I'm a herbalist and owner of Bloomin' Wild Remedies.
A little about my journey...
I had a passion for natural medicine as a teenager, I spent a lot of time in natural health and herbal shops. I was forever checking the backs of labels of skincare products and researching what would work well with my acne prone skin.
I began working for the NHS at eighteen years old, it was during that time I studied a science based holistic and beauty therapy course. I began to work with clients in between shift work. Then after years of general/mental health nursing and taking a break to embark on my journey as a mother, I studied creative writing with Open University and began working on a childrens book called Twizzle Brown & Lenny Sparkle (a story based in an enchanted forest) You can find it here
It was published in 2013 and led me into working with many schools, one of which I stayed for a number of years while I completed my Foundation degree in Childhood Studies with Special Educational Needs…
During the pandemic, I suddenly became disabled and therefore had to rethink my current position within the wonderful school I was teaching in. After being diagnosed with two neurological chronic illnesses, I decided to change course and what a wonderful surprise, I ended up going full circle back to natural medicine. I began studying herbalism full-time and I started my herbal business.
I have a therapy tea bar in the vibrant Revival Food & Mood (a mental health and wellbeing cafe in Whitstable, Kent) where I meet people from all walks of life.
I blend specialist teas and herbal remedies. I am also working on a natural skincare range, which is due to be launched online soon. Sneak peek here
My mission is to help support others, who like myself want to find natural ways to support body, mind and spirit.
If you're here for the first time, welcome to Bloomin' Wild Remedies ❤️
